Handley Page Halifax B Mk.III: The long-awaited return of a legend

Model makers have waited a long time, now the moment has come: For the first time since 2015, Revell is releasing the Handley Page Halifax B Mk.III. This kit is considered to be the only modern tool of this famous British bomber on the current market. With an impressive wingspan of almost 44 cm in a scale of 1:72, this model is a real heavyweight. It offers a level of detail and fit that befits the historical significance of this Royal Air Force workhorse.

Why this kit should not be missing from any collection

• Exclusive return: Take the chance to build this kit, which has been out of stock for years - the reference for the Halifax in 1:72.
• Technology in focus: Marvel at the four finely reproduced Hercules radial engines and the fully equipped bomb bay including bomb load.
• Living mechanics: Bring dynamics to your model with movable control surfaces such as elevator and rudder.
• New markers: The kit contains two new, high-quality decal versions for a British (RAF) and an Australian (RAAF) aircraft.
• Challenging project: With 257 parts and level 5, this bomber is a wonderful challenge for experienced modelers aged 13 and over.

Assembling the Halifax is a journey into the aviation technology of the 1940s. You construct the complex fuselage framework, assemble the detailed landing gear bays and add the powerful wings. Painting the camouflage schemes and applying the fine decals in particular require patience and precision. The result is a museum piece that impressively demonstrates the power and technical complexity of the Allied bomber fleet.

Background information

Along with the famous Lancaster, the Handley Page Halifax was the Royal Air Force's most important heavy bomber in World War II. Over 6,000 examples were built. The Mk.III version featured the more powerful Bristol Hercules radial engines, giving it better performance and higher chances of survival. It was the backbone of Bomber Command and made a decisive contribution to the Allied air offensive.
