The new Oxford Diecast set of three P series Rovers, celebrates key introductions of the marque across the years and it will make an exceptional seasonal gift for the collector in your life!
The set comprises 76P4002, the second release of the P4/90 which was released as a single model some time ago. Rover first launched the P4/90 in 1949 and here it is authentically decorated in a steel blue/light navy colour scheme, with a pale blue interior. The bold body colour highlights the wealth of silver masking beautifully, including the discreet Rover name along the side of the bonnet. The car is registered 901 HLK.
Second up is the latest livery on the 76RP5003, the Rover P5B which we have reviewed in this issue and we think youll agree, its rich dark red and grey colour scheme complements the other two models in this set very well. The Rover Company Ltd introduced the P5 in 1958 as a series of large four-door saloon and coupe? cars, continuing manufacture, despite various company mergers and ownerships, until 1973
The final piece in the set is 76RP001 which was the first release of the newly tooled Rover P6 when it appeared as a single model. It is decorated in Avocado Green with black masked roof and tan interior, registered VVC 700S in 1977, the last year of production. Classed as an executive 4-door saloon, the P6 was introduced in 1963 and was voted European Car of the Year in 1964. It had a four-speed manual or three-speed automatic gearbox on the higher powered variants.
