Background information

The Fokker DR.1 Triplane was developed in 1917 as a response to the British Sopwith Triplane. It quickly became a legend, particularly due to its exceptional maneuverability and high climbing performance. The aircraft became particularly famous thanks to Captain Manfred von Richthofen – also known as “The Red Baron” – who achieved numerous aerial victories with it. Despite its short service life, the DR.1 has left a lasting fascination. The model captures this historical significance in great detail and brings you a unique piece of aviation history straight home.
