It was fitted with a Giesl ejector and underfeed stoker sometime in 1966 before transferring to Bickerhsaw Colliery in Leigh and allocated the rather catchy number 63\/000\/432. Here it worked until withdrawal in 1983 although for the last couple of years carried the unofficial name of “Fred” chalked on the tank sides, along with a “locally made” squared Giesl ejector.
