The 2-HAP (later Class 414) is the most recent introduction and now, we are delighted to present this stunning two car set in BR (SR) Green livery with Small Yellow Panels.\r\rLike the real units, this 2-HAP comprises a Driving Motor Brake Second (DMBS) and a Driving Trailer Composite Lavatory (DTCL) and both vehicles are constructed from precision moulded bodyshells that are adorned with fine detail from the door handles, hinges and bumpers, to the steps at the inner ends. Metal wire handrails and filler pipes are also fitted to the inner ends, whilst the driving cabs are adorned with multiple working equipment, windscreen wipers and whistles above the driver’s window, all fitted separately. Guard’s periscopes feature on the roof of the DMBS too. Underneath each vehicle the truss frames and brake gear is depicted, along with a full set of auxiliary equipment and boxes. The flush glazed windows give a view of the internal seating which is made all the more visible thanks to the interior lighting, whilst the cab is fitted with a driver’s seat, control desk and brake wheel.\r\rWith conductive couplings employed between the two vehicles, mounted on close-coupling mechanisms, NEM coupling pockets are also fitted to the bogies at each end allowing multiple units to be coupled together. Each wheelset is fitted with electrical pickups and capacitors are used to provide back-up power preventing light flicker. Just a single 21 Pin decoder is required to use the model on DCC.\r\rMODEL FEATURES:\r\rBachmann Branchline OO Scale\rEra 5\rPristine BR (SR) Green (Small Yellow Panels) Livery\rSet No. 6079\r2-Car Unit comprising DMBS No. S61277 and DTCL No. S75397\rNEM Coupling Pockets at the outer ends\rIntegral conductive couplings mounted on close-coupling mechanisms between vehicles\rAccessory Pack – including Short & Long conductive couplings\rPowerful 5-pole motor driving the motor bogie fitted to the DMBS - just like the real units\rInterior Lighting including the Driving Cab\rIlluminated Headcode Blinds\rReady to accept a Speaker\rEquipped with a 21 Pin DCC Decoder Socket – recommended Decoder 36-557A\rLength 532mm\r \r\r2-HAP/CLASS 414 HISTORY\r\rThe British Rail Class 414 (or 2-HAP) was a BR standard design of 2-car 90mph Electric Multiple Unit (EMU). Built across four distinct batches between 1957 and 1963, the units saw use as part of the Southern Region’s express fleet and were geared to work with other EMUs including the Class 411 4-CEPs.\r\rThe 2-HAP designation was an evolution of the earlier 2-HALs – 2 cars with Half-A-Lavatory. The HAPs could well have shared the same nomenclature but as they also featured electro pneumatic brakes, the final character was changed to a P resulting in the 2-HAP. The first batch of HAPs to be built shared similar electronics to the 1951-built 4-EPB and 2-EPB units and were distinguished by their roof mounted lighting conduits and full length step boards – these were designated as 1951-type, Phase 1 units. The second batch were also Phase 1 units but were denoted as 1957-type because they featured updated control equipment. Visually, the second batch could be distinguished from the first by the lack of lighting conduit on the roof, with just the pipework for the lavatory water tanks remaining, and the step boards that ended either side of the toilet compartment.\r\rThe third and fourth batches were both 1957-type, Phase 2 units, which featured Mk3B motor bogies and Commonwealth bogies at the inner ends, except for the different bogies the third batch was otherwise visually little different to the second batch of 1957-type, Phase 1 units. The fourth and final batch differed from the others by having a modified cab end arrangement, with a smaller headcode aperture, and these units also reverted back to the Mk4 motor bogies used on the Phase 1 builds.\r\rOriginally numbered 6001-6173, under the Total Operations Processing System (TOPS) the units were first classified as 412 and 424 to differentiate the 1951-type and 1957-type respectively, but soon after all were reclassified as 414s – 414/2 for the 1951-type units and 414/3 for the 1957-type. Withdrawals began in 1982 when the cost of asbestos removal was deemed too great for much of the fleet, although some units did have their asbestos removed and survived in service until the final withdrawal in 1995.

SPECIAL OFFER PRICE £161.46, List Price £189.95
Bachmann 31-479A LNWR G2A 49164 BR Black (Late Crest)

Scale 1:76, 00 Gauge

Era 5
Pristine BR Black Late Crest livery
Running No. 49164
Twin Handle Smokebox Door Handle
Adjustable Tender Drawbar
Powerful 3 Pole Motor
NEM Coupling Pockets
Sprung Buffers
Accessory Pac
Locomotive Ready to Accept a Speaker
Equipped with a 21 Pin DCC Decoder Socket – Recommend Decoder item No. 36-557A
Length 231mm (over couplings)

SPECIAL OFFER PRICE £280.46. They were built to replace many locomotive-hauled passenger trains, thereby reducing cost of operation, and to allow cascading of existing Sprinter units to replace elderly 'heritage' DMUs. The majority of the 182-strong fleet of Class 158 units were built as two-car sets, with 17 three-car units constructed specifically for use on Trans-Pennine services. Similar three-car units were built for use by Network SouthEast but these were converted to Class 159 specification before introduced into service, with toilet retention tanks and other modifications to operate over the third-rail network.\r\rAll the Class 158s remain in service today, with operators including ScotRail, Northern, Great Western (GWR), East Midlands Trains (now EMR), and Transport for Wales (formerly Arriva). Former operators include Central Trains. The Class has worked extensively across the UK network, even into East Anglia as far as Stansted Airport and Norwich. Some 158s have been converted to additional Class 159s and now operate for South Western alongside their original classmates.

SPECIAL OFFER PRICE £144.96, List Price £169.95
Bachmann 31-617 LNER V3 Tank 390 LNER Lined Black

Accessory Pack
NEM Coupling Pockets
Sprung Buffers

Scale 1:76, 00 Gauge

SPECIAL OFFER PRICE £148.70, List Price £174.95
Bachmann 31-742A MR 1532 (1P) Tank 58051 BR Lined Black (Early Emblem)

Scale 1:76, 00 Gauge

Bachmann Branchline OO Scale
Era 4
Pristine BR Lined Black Early Emblem Livery
Running No. 58051
Equipped with a Next18 DCC Decoder Socket – Recommend Decoder item No. 36-567A
Length 142mm (over couplings)
DETAIL VARIATIONS SPECIFIC TO THIS MODEL

Belpaire Boiler
Standard Side Tanks
Welded Side Tanks and Bunker
High Cab Front Windows
Straight-Sided Bunker with 3-Bar Coal Rails
Standard Lamp Irons
Deeley 3’ Chimney
Rivetted Smokebox
Smokebox Door with BR Style Numberplate
Low Smokebox Door Handrail
Push-Pull Fitted
Large Vacuum Exhauster
Sandboxes Fitted Between Driving Wheels
Running Plate Steps

SPECIAL OFFER PRICE £114.71, List Price £134.95
Bachmann 32-231B LMS Fowler 3F (Jinty) 47406 BR Black (Early Emblem)
Scale 1:76, OO gauge

The ‘Jinty’ is a timeless classic and we are delighted to welcome this LMS workhorse back to the Bachmann Branchline OO scale range with this model of preserved locomotive No. 47406 in BR Black with Early Emblem. The trailer also sports a diecast metal chassis, with separate metal bearings fitted to the two axles and the gearing from the coreless motor to the driving axle is housed in a diecast metal gearbox. The driven wheelset is also fitted with traction tyres for assured running from this diminutive model. The semi-permanent coupling between the trolley and trailer allows electrical connections to be carried between the two, so that all eight wheels of the model can be equipped with pickups. With its wheels on full show, it’s easy to see that these have been replicated faithfully with the correct pattern and profile and brakes are added separately too. Meanwhile the trolley car itself has glazed windscreens with a separate windscreen wiper, headlights at the front and rear (non-functional), and a representation of the sheeting (that would have supposedly provided riders with protection from inclement weather!) rolled up and stowed along the roof edge.

MODEL FEATURES:

Bachmann Branchline OO Scale
Era 7
Pristine BR Departmental Yellow (Wasp Stripes) Livery
Running No. DB965950 with Trailer No. DB965954 / Plant No. 68/006
Coreless Motor
Length 76mm

SPECIAL OFFER PRICE £25.46. These 1,700hp Types 3 diesel-electric locomotives were built at English Electric’s Vulcan Foundry and by Robert Stephenson & Hawthorns between 1960 and 1965, with 309 examples produced in total. When TOPS was implemented the type was designated Class 37.\r\rThe class proved popular with railwaymen and so in 1985, a major refurbishment programme for the Class 37 locomotives was sanctioned to extend the working lives of 135 locomotives. Features of the refurbishment involved plating over the four-character head codes and sealing off the nose end communication doors. The resulting design became the iconic Brush Type 4 Diesel locomotive, a practical, versatile design with a very distinctive cab. Powered with a Sulzer engine and initially rated at 2,750hp, the locomotive could achieve a top speed of 75mph with a tractive effort of 55,000lb. Building commenced in January 1962 and the first locomotive No. D1500 appeared in late September of the same year with test runs on the London Midland Region and Western Region. The design was a success and BR went on to order a total of 512 with continuous production through to early 1967, forming the largest single class of main-line diesel locomotives in the UK.\r\rDuring this time and subsequent years, several variations appeared with an increase in speed and tractive effort to 95mph and 62,000lb respectively. Originally fitted with four character train reporting head-codes, these changed to marker lights, with the addition of high intensity lights and roof aerials in the late 1980s. Other variations involved the fitting of different types of steam heating boiler for early BR coaching stock, later replaced with electric train heating for use with modern rolling stock. The numbering system started with four figures but changed to five with the introduction of the TOPS coding system which saw the locomotives classified as Class 47 Diesels with variations such as 47/0, 47/2, 47/3, 47/4 and 47/7. By the end of the 1990s, half of the Class 47 fleet had been withdrawn or scrapped, 33 have been converted into Class 57 locomotives and several have been preserved, including the original No. D1500, now numbered 47401.
SPECIAL OFFER PRICE £390.96 List Price £459.95\rBachmann 35-503 Class 117 3-Car DMU R334 BR Green (Small Yellow Panels) \r\rScale 1:76, OO gauge\r\rMODEL FEATURES:\r\rBachmann Branchline OO Scale\rPristine BR Green (Small Yellow Panels) Livery\rSet No. R334\r3-Car Unit comprising DMBS No. W51334, TCL No. W59486 and DMS No. W51376\rDestination Blinds for Reading and Paddington\rEquipped with a PLUX 22 DCC Decoder Socket – recommended Decoder item No. 36-570B\rLength 816mm\rDETAIL VARIATIONS SPECIFIC TO THIS MODEL\r\rOriginal Cab Fronts without Marker or Tail Lights\rGlazed Headcode Boxes displaying Headcodes 2A25 & 2A60\rFull Height Cab Handrails\rAs built, without Corridor Connectors\rCut Buffers\rOriginal Bogies\rOne-Piece Exhaust at the Corridor End on the DMBS and DMS Vehicles
SPECIAL OFFER PRICE £212.46, List Price £249.95 \rBachmann 35-777 Class 69 69002 'Bob Tiller CM&EE' BR Blue Large Logo GBRf\r\rScale 1:76, OO gauge

SPECIAL OFFER PRICE £331.46, List Price £389.95
Bachmann 35-778SFX Class 69 69003 'The Railway Observer' GBRf SOUND FITTED Deluxe

Scale 1:76, OO gauge

Pristine GBRf livery
Running No. 69003
Named 'The Railway Observer'
Etched Nameplates included
SOUND FITTED DELUXE Fitted with a ESU V5DCC Sound Decoder
Motorised Radiator Fans
Auto-Release Coupling System (Fitted at both ends)
Length 254mm

SPECIAL OFFER PRICE £331.46, List Price £389.95
Bachmann 35-780SFX Class 69 69005 'Eastleigh' BR Green SOUND FITTED Deluxe

Scale 1:76, OO gauge

ESU Loksound V5DCC Sound Decoder
Auto-Release Couplings
Rotating Radiator Fan

SPECIAL OFFER PRICE £305.96 List Price £359.95 \rBachmann 35-801ASFX Class 30 D5617 BR Green (Late Crest) Deluxe Sound Fitted\r\rScale 1:76, OO gauge\r\rThe Brush Type Twos – Class 30s and Class 31s – are the next Diesel Locomotives to get the Bachmann Branchline treatment, with models of these long-lived prototypes joining the Branchline OO scale range for the first time.
